This application
was originally written in 1988. It provides for up to 99 remote
offices and optionally multiple companies, with a Remote Office
and Home Office module, producing for fax a Daily Report with
sales and bank deposit info. Highly customized for the Hearing Aid
dealer with multiple manufacturers and multiple offices, it
tightly screens and tracks all entries for sales, returns,
refunds, changes, and deletions, and assumes varied levels of
operator savvy. Since in the Hearing Aid Industry most sales come
from direct mailings, it offers a rich assortment of data mining
tools for reports and labels, with complete mailing history
tracking and analysis.
It has evolved over
the years, and is used in many offices throughout Texas. It
currently is not networked, as most offices have not required it.
But I am currently working on a new release which will be networked,
for large and very busy offices requiring two or more front office
PC's, or offices with more than one office location - like one PC in
the front for walk-in payments, battery purchases, etc., and one in
the back office for most other data entry. Also, the network will
make it easy for the owner to review data, if he has a PC in his
office, too.
Although this
application will work perfectly for a dealer with only one office,
it is intended for dealers with multiple offices and who want to
track and safeguard both sales and financial data, as to eliminate
possibilities for theft and/or fraud.
