Back    Respiratory Care Management for Small Hospitals (0 to 1500 beds)

This app is used by a small hospital chain that typically has 4 buildings. It has 136 screens, 88 reports, and 176 tables. Respiratory Care is sort of a "floating" department, as most patients attended are scattered around the hospital in various departments. A therapist coming on shift gets their patient list, logs on, and may not even return to the department that shift. The program is accessible from about 250 workstations, so a therapist may enter her actions from where she is working, typically toward the end of her shift. The app has been running 24/7 for about 6 years.

The motivation for this app is accountability, documentation, and billing. Accountability is a measurement of therapist efficiency - how much they did per shift.
