Back Project Tracking for the Institutional Achitect
This app was developed for a client who designs banks, prisons, universities, libraries, etc. The client typically has maybe 30 active projects at any given time. And because they are dealing mostly with federal, state, county, and city agencies, their clients want frequent progress reports. And because they operate as a team, they need a centralized utility for individual architects to enter results for site inspections (including pictures), conversations with their clients, future actions they have scheduled, etc. And when they have a company meeting, to have reports that show these results.
Each morning architects open the program, and let it remain open throughout the day, bringing it up as necessary to record conversations, actions, requests from clients, etc. And when necessary to broadcast an email to all associated architects for a project and/or to the client, contractors, etc. When they return from a site visit they dump photographs from their cameras to a server, and use the program to grab the photos and link them to their field report. This permits any architect to see all activity and comunication that has occured for a project in seconds, as well as what actions are needed.
